2023 Qatar Grand Prix: Fast Facts
The Qatar Grand Prix isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but with the stunning backdrop racing in the desert provides, I quite like watching the action from the Lusail International Circuit.
This is also a weekend with a Sprint Race, and one where Max Verstappen can win the 2023 Driver’s Championship.
Here’s how it works…
Max Verstappen can win the Drivers’ World Championship in the Sprint Race in Qatar, unless Sergio Perez scores six points more than Max. It would make Max the first driver to win the title on a Saturday since Nelson Piquet at the 1983 South African Grand Prix.

As for the tyres, teams will have C1 as P Zero White hard, C2 as P Zero Yellow medium, and C3 as P Zero Red soft. This is the same nomination made for the previous race, in Japan.
